35-Bed Halabja Chemical Disease Hospital

Location: Halabja, Iraq

Area: 7,000 m2

Scope of Work: Concept Design

Client: Agmest Group

Project Description:

The design has identified several architectural features and is intended to serve as a landmark building in the city of Halabja. A monumental curved stone wall is featured at the main elevation of the project, creating a welcoming effect alongside a landscaped plaza at the main entrance.

A topographic survey reveals that the site has a variation in elevation of up to five meters. The concept design takes these site characteristics into account and appropriately allocates the building's functions accordingly.

Site Work:

The site features roads, pedestrian paths, and walkways. Roads and parking areas consist of interlocking concrete units laid on sand and compacted soil. Sidewalks are made of concrete pavements on sand with curb stones.

Hospital and Rehabilitation Buildings:

The project consists of two buildings: a hospital and a rehabilitation center.
